Expect the unexpected.

I rushed down to school for a day that I prepared and was unexpectedly called to relief another colleague to bring athletes out for the national track and field. Since I was totally unprepared for it, I only brought my wallet and handphone along with me. It was a BORING thing to bring them out. I really regretted not bringing a book along to read.

Anyway, I chit chatted with the kids and realised that one of the gals is from NCC and another from FCBC and I told them I'm from CHC. Prayed for one boy as he was too nervous and was experiencing anxiety. Although he isn't a Christian, I still took the opportunity to pray for him. I hope it helps.

Memories flooded my mind. Time flies. It's already 1 year.

Ballroom dancing!

Yesterday we finally had our long awaited ballroom dancing. I was honoured to be sitting next to a gentleman, Tianhua. Haha. Everyone's shy to help ourselves to the food, so he stood up to serve me and my friends. I felt bad that he was more enthusiastic than me. Super onz! Since I invited him, how can I let him go off without dancing.. So I danced with him. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I think we all had fun. Haha. Here's a group photo of those in my cg who went.

Beautiful ladies..

Super on gentlemen! That's what I call men!

And the lesson for the day: Rekindle Your Romance

1) Attention
2) Affirmation
3) Affection
4) Adventure

It's really not easy to sustain a love relationship unless both party puts in effort to. To all the married people, do continue to give attention to your spouse, affirm them by giving them words of encouragement, show your affection by hugging them or holding their hands and have fun doing things together. I agree with what Pastor said, most men or women that strayed in marriage is because of boredom. When someone other than their spouse is willing to give them the attention, affirmation and affection, that is when their hearts are swayed. That becomes an "excitement" which they had lost with their spouse overtime. So to all my married friends, I wish you all the best in your marriage and pray that you continue to give your spouse the attention, affirmation, affection and adventure to carry on a lifetime of love relationship! Never compromise on your time spent with your spouse alone (without your kids). Rekindle your romance!

Back from camp!

I'm back from P5 camp. At the end of the camp then I realised I should have done more to make this camp a more meaningful one for me and the kids. And I didn't take pictures with the pupils that I'm in charged of! Sadz! Well, it's too late.

Anyway, we were all tired physically. I slept after taking a bath at home. I learnt quite a number of things through the camp: the operation aspect and the importance of energy level from the teachers and instructors.

Officially starting teaching tomorrow. But we still have P4 SEL camp till Friday. I don't know if my lessons are affected or not.

Gathering gathering gathering!

21st June
Went Settler's Cafe with Yingfang, Yanping and Eunice. We played quite a number of games and I like this game.. It has cute dolls and it's cool to see the tower leaning towards one side!

And look at the cute doll that we placed on the tower!

22nd June
Had family lunch at Marina Mandarin. Gosh it's really cheap because my da sao is a staff there. Cool! I had a great variety of food.. but taking care not to gorge myself. It's good to eat good food on this last day of holiday. Time to watch diet and money spending!

And I had a new look today again! Check it out!

Nowadays, blogging takes a longer time as it takes a long long time to upload the photos.. So I shall stop here.

I've got my timetable!

Finally, after waiting for so long, I got my timetable. I really need to thank God that I only have PE, Maths and HE lessons. The timetable is quite xiong and there are lots of things happening in the month of July. I'm involved in P5 camp, NAPFA tests, school concert, Olympic month and NIE Teacher's Investiture. All these are happening in the month of July! Busy busy busy!

But I'm really excited for school. Hee. Mad. Anyone interested to support us in our fund raising by purchasing a ticket for the school concert on 18th July? ;)

Samba!

We had a Samba gathering at Debz & Banz's house yesterday. I can't help but miss our diploma days. While trying to fish a CD-R out, I actually found lots of pictures from our diploma days. Really brought back much memories... We are a BIG FAMILY!

The days of fun, joy and sharing were so much diminished as we grow old together in this teaching career. A minority have quitted the service, while many have continued in this passion. I begin to appreciate those who took pains to take photos and videos and compile them into a CD-R for all of us.

Many turned up yesterday.. and the star of the day was.. Keegan!

I think he has very good EQ. He'll smile as long as you say hello to him. And he allows anyone and everyone to carry him. For the whole evening, all of us were taking turns to carry him. He's really a darling.

Really thankful to Debz & Banz for opening up their house and treating us to pizza and spicy drumlets! And not forgetting the chocolate truffles made by Melisa! I don't really have a sweet tooth, but this is really soft and nice. Can see that she really put her heart into making them for us. There were small little hearts candies on the chocolate itself! Cool!

I played mahjong again.. and did pretty well that day. Still no bets involved. Just pure fun. So, as promised, I'm here to thank the "devils", Wendi and Yeejia for their "devil's training" on Monday (they forced me to say that it's their effort that I can play well). Hahahahahahaha! Ops! I'm gonna make things worst by saying that.. JUST JOKING!!!! Relax!

P/S: I don't get angry for more than one day, usually. Unless, I was hurt badly in my heart.

it's another night of fun!

Went to Wendi's house for a time of fun again! However, this time we didn't really play Wii much.. I swam with Lynn, Gwen and Wendi while we waited for the rest to come. Then we played Wii Fit for a very short while. After which, we played mahjong till 12 midnight.

How do I look in Gwen's bathrobe?? Hahaha.. I can fit into it!!! So cool!
Photobucket

What is beautiful Gwen listening to?
Photobucket

Is she hungry for some butter cookies??
Photobucket

Why is Yanling looking so sad at the chips in her hands?
Photobucket

It's her 1st time playing mahjong with us.. these were her last few chips before she lost it all..

We forgot to take a group photo!!!! What a waste! Never mind! Plenty of chances to take with the pretty gals!

But I learnt some lessons..
1) never drink alcoholic drinks when you just recovered from an illness. I tried 2 cups of vodka and my body burned like hell. Was tortured one whole night as I wasn't able to take panadol because of the Vodka.

2) Never play mahjong with impatient people. They made my blood boil. But then again, most people who played mahjong are impatient.

3) Never win small winnings if you are playing with the more expert.. Cos they will scold you like hell. I got my fair bit of scoldings.

So you can imagine how HOT I was.. feverish plus blood boiling.. and still kena scolded.. Poor me!

No pain, no gain!

It was an eventful day yesterday. A few hunks and babes went to play paintball! It's really a game of pain_ball. At one occasion, I was given 3 shots at a go and they hurt badly. I was stunned for a moment.. but then after that, everything goes and pain meant nothing.

The fierce gals..
Photobucket

We are not that fierce after all..
Photobucket

The hunks and babes who went..
Photobucket

After that, I went to Takashimaya for a nice sumptuous thai dinner. Green curry and tom yam soup!
Photobucket

There after, I went to shop around and bought some things at Bodyshop to pamper myself.. I'm now a member of Bodyshop. If you need anything, I can get for you at 10% discount.
Photobucket

After getting so many things... I got this for free! (Couldn't crop it out nicely.. )
Photobucket

And I bought a mascara too.. But I forgot to buy the thing to curl my eye lashes.. hahaha!
Photobucket

Then I met up Eunice and Grace for chill out at Dempsey Road. It was soooo crowded.
Photobucket

I wonder if it's the Sauza Gold Tequila or the chocolate ice cream that caused my sore throat and indigestion today.. or was it the chicken wings and fried oyster we had at Bedok Blk 85 after this?? Hmmm.. Could be the green curry during dinner time too.. Maybe it's the combination of everything.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Anyway, it was a fruitful day and I was happy with my purchases!

Need time for myself.

The minute that I'm back from Bintan, I feel dried up. I no longer have my own free time to do what I want and like to do. Although it's really great to hang out with friends shopping and having meals.. But I feel tired. Maybe that's why I fell sick today. This coming week will be the last week of school holidays. I really hope it'll pass by SLOWLY.

Back from Bintan!

This is a late entry because I had problems loading the pictures up.. So I decided to use photobucket again.

It had been a relaxing and enjoyable 3 days trip to Bintan with Xuan. There was no rush, no shopping, no frustrations, no hassle.. except noisy lizards and dirty lizard shit. The whole trip started well with us on board a ferry to Bintan. At first I thought it's those lousy ferry we took to pulau ubin.. Haha.. I was wrong.. We took quite a nice ferry.
Photobucket

And we both wore similar flip flops for this trip.
Photobucket

Here's our room!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Guess what?? Xuan also has a soft toy which she brings with her for every overseas trip!!! Hahaha..
Photobucket

We spent, and spent and spent. Had a very expensive buffet dinner for the first night. The best food there was.. SATAY!!! And we had a 4 course dinner and a cocktail on the second night at the Kelong. SHIOK and full to the max! ONAGA IPPAI!!!
Photobucket

I'm eating the water snail a.k.a GONG GONG.
Photobucket

And my Blue Hawaii...
Photobucket

This is what happens when you are stuck in a room waiting for time to pass... We started taking photos in the room.. Kekeke!
Photobucket

What was Xuan thinking? And what was I looking at?
Photobucket

Eh, why did I show you this pillar?
Photobucket

Let me zoom in for you.. See those black black dots along the beam? They are lizard shit. These are what tortured me this entire trip.. Everyday, one will land on Xuan's bed when we were out of the room. I freaked out each time I hear them 'talking' or see their shit around.. So glad that my house is free from lizards.
Photobucket

Before we left this beautiful island, we took a photo with our very nice and friendly staff, Wilis.. She kept asking us to go back again. The staff there are really friendly and approachable. As long as your eyes met theirs, they'll smile back and say hi.
Photobucket

Last but not least, how could we leave the island without a SPA treatment? For the 1st time in my life, I went for a full body SPA which costs a bomb. It's worth it because it's my first time and it left my skin feeling smooth and soft. Hahaha.
Photobucket

The SPA area was really pretty and serene. Had a good scrub, yoghurt coating and then a good massage finished off with a flower bath. Here's the bed that I laid on and the "bath tub".
Photobucket

Photobucket

After the bath, there was a lemongrass drink provided for us at a very serene, air conditioned and comfy place. The lemongrass drink we had at the restaurant at Expo is nothing compared to this one at Bintan. Really fragrant and refreshing. Cool!
Photobucket

I realised the scenery at Mayang Sari is so much better than our Cabana in Nirwana Beach Club. Check out the beach volleyball area.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Since it's not a shopping trip, I bought nothing back except 2 bottles of Vodka from the DFS at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Haha.
Photobucket

Photobucket

I realised that I really enjoyed my time out in the sun and sea.. slacking, praying, reading and swimming at our own pace at such great environment. Bali's next!!!!

New style. New me.

I officially tried a new style today. Like what Wendy told me, "There are no ugly woman, just lazy woman." If we all make an effort to dress up and look our best, we'll all look good! It's definitely not easy to dress up and look our best. I took quite a while to plan what to wear last night and quite a while to put on make up this morning. So I really need to be diligent from this day forth! And it takes lots of courage to step out and try something new. Here's how I look today.

It not only takes effort to dress up. It takes a lot of finances to dress up. So after I finished clearing all my debts, I'll start setting aside some money every month to buy new outfits to replace the clothes in my wardrobe. Hurray to a new me!

So why the sudden change? Well, I think I'm not young anymore.. and since now I can afford to buy new clothes, why not? Hee. Many other things to buy.. I need good finance management!

On another note, today I received 2 gifts from my friends out of the blue. Terry gave me a nice, yellow snoopy cushion!! I'm gonna bring it to school to hug because I'm sitting at a neglected corner. Gonna make it my cosy corner!!! The cushion will light up my dark corner! (Oh ya.. I must remember to put the cushion back into the plastic after hugging it.. That day I noticed lizard shit on my new chair in the staff room..)

Showing you my super clean and empty table and the cushion.

Not forgetting another yellow gift that I received today! Thanks friend (you know who you are) for remembering me and getting me a gift even when you go overseas. It has a nice word on it too!! Haha.. That's my name!

2 yellow gifts - Is God trying to remind me that I used to like yellow a lot? Is He trying to tell me to find back that kind of love for Him and for life too? Is He trying to tell me not to be selfish anymore?

Finally some pictures of what I bought in KL.

Here's some of the things I bought in KL. Finally got the photoshop DVD from Ken. Haha.. But I realised I don't really know how to use the photoshop.. so I only know how to crop the picture.. hahahaha.. Anyone wants to teach me?

1. Polo T from Polo Ralph.

2. A thick stylo jacket.

3. A black dress for a change of style.

4. 2 dresses in preparation for this year's wedding dinner.

5. A rugged haversack for school.

Finally managed to put up these few pictures.. Took me a long while because my internet is down AGAIN. Blame SINGTEL!
